The Kondalilla Falls of the Sunshine Coast Hinterlands. Kondalilla National Park served as our first Australian hiking experience. The park offers several trails with a variety of challenge levels. We selected the Kondalilla Falls trail with a challenge level of "medium". It was more than a casual walk, featuring a 4.7 km trail complete with 659 m of climbing, 300 stairs, a swimming hole, and graceful waterfalls. I'll share the experience through photos.

The rain forests are spectacular. I'm looking forward to a 12-month growing season. It's interesting to learn how plants grown as houseplants in Kansas grow outside here. Their growth is amazing! Geraniums growing into a 3-4 foot shrub and begonias 10-12 feet tall!
